This Thursday we’ll take a day off of work or school, eat turkey and stuffing, watch football and give thanks. On Friday and Saturday, much of the country will be shopping for deals. But on Tuesday, we’ll be celebrating #GivingTuesday – a global day dedicated to giving back and celebrating generosity.
This year we challenge everyone across the Diocese of Virginia to participate in the Mustard Seed appeal for #GivingTuesday. Our goal is 100 new donors of any size gift.
Join us and be part of a global celebration of generosity as we help build gardens to feed people in our communities, install accessible bathrooms so that all who worship with us truly feel welcome, establish hypothermia prevention and urban cooling centers to take care of our neighbors during the worst weather of the year, and extend the reach of parish mission trips abroad by providing funds to build roofs on schools and dig wells for clean drinking water.
The act of giving is as simple as writing a check or donating online . Please contribute to the Mustard Seed Fund and be part of the wonderful work that we as a diocese are able to accomplish together.
