Buck Blanchard recently visited the town of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo for the consecration of Bishop Desire Mukanirwa Kadorho. During his stay, Buck visited the parish of Ngangi, led by the Rev. Moise Lukoo. The Diocese of Virginia had recently sent funding to Father Moises to construct a cement floor in the church to replace the previous “lava rock floor,” formed by rocks from an adjacent volcano that erupted over a decade ago. The new church floor is a big improvement – and much better for dancing!
